Save the best for last is an uncomfortable cliche

Through the magic of internet I learned today that the second longest high sweetheart dating couple from my alma mater is now engaged and has a wedding date of next year. I, on the other hand, have nothing on my other hand. No, seriously it was frustrating. I will only be 26 for one more month and then my pipe dream of engagement at 26 will have come and gone. My patience may go with it but I'll just have to see how it goes. Every day seems to matter a little more. I realize the focus of my blog has shifted from graduate school adventures to frustration over not having the level of commitment that I would have hoped for after 10 and a half years. To his credit, I had a wonderful weekend last week with my Bf visiting me. However, at some point I am seriously going have to reach some sort of limit of what I will accept.

In other news, I am getting cable tv next week as a birthday gift! And I bought a new earring tonight for my cartilige piercing that I can hypothetically put in my own ear without any assistance. I spent alot of time with my brother today and helped him make a list of what to take with him when he moves next month. I will very much miss having him around, even tho I am not around him as much since I am in grad school. I went to lunch with my daddy yesterday and saw my grandparents tonight. It's been a very family-oriented weekend.

It was my first week of work and classes. Three classes, 1 of which seems really interesting and 1 of which seems to have the potential to be a good opportunity and learning experience. I'm on a panel on Monday during orientation but I don't know what I am supposed to say or answer while on the panel. Ok, that concludes my attempt to make this more about graduate school adventures than about my lack of adventure in my personal life.
